Children

When there are children involved in the separation / divorce proceedings, this can be very true for  them.  Children can experience feelings of:

  • Anxiety
  • Fear
  • Grief and loss
  • Anger

As a result, these feelings being experienced by the children affect everyone’s life.

Grandparents

Grandparents can also find this period challenging, especially if they cannot continue seeing their grandchildren.

  1. This is where they may not be able to continue to see and have time to spend with their grandchildren.
  2. As a result, Relationship Mediation also assists grandparents to mediate where required, to visit and spend time with their grandchildren.
  3. Issues of safety are taken into primary consideration in the decision making process.

We assist grandparents in mediating visitation and spending time with their grandchildren, ensuring that they give safety issues a primary consideration.

During this difficult process, it’s crucial to be kind to yourself and seek support when needed. We encourage taking small steps towards self-care, such as opening your bank account, seeking legal and financial advice, and prioritizing your well-being.

We understand the importance of collaboration and work closely with legal practitioners specializing in family, divorce, and criminal matters, as well as counselors and psychologists to provide comprehensive support.

Start by small steps.

  1. Taking immediate steps, such as opening your bank account, is crucial to gain control of your finances.
  2. Address longer-term issues related to money and finance as you progress.
  3. Seek legal and financial advice to navigate your situation effectively.
  4. Prioritize health and safety according to your circumstances.
  5. Remember, your well-being is paramount. Take care of yourself.
